Title: Transforming Organizations through AI and Business Process Innovation

Abstract: Digital transformation (DT) and artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping how organizations operate, interact, and innovate. However, successfully implementing these technologies requires more than just infrastructure, it demands a rethinking of business processes, governance models, and organizational design. This talk offers a multi-perspective overview of how emerging technologies such as IoT, blockchain, and especially Large Language Models (LLMs) are being integrated into process-aware systems across domains like smart manufacturing and e-government. Part of the talk is devoted to discussing recent research results at the intersection of Business Process Management (BPM), DT, smart production management and the adoption and impact of AI in organizations management, including tools for resilient process modeling, GDPR compliance by design, and language-model-powered assistants for civil law writing. Through both theoretical and applied lenses, the talk highlights the organizational impact of these technologies, and the methodologies used to design, validate, and deploy them. The goal is to provide both a conceptual and empirical roadmap for researchers and practitioners interested in the future of intelligent, transparent, and human-centered digital organizations.
